Wikstrand was an idiot by taking off before discussing it with the Sens. That's just idiotic.

Murray treats players right that deserve it.

Please, let's not just make blanket statements here.  Murray botched the alfie negotiations and wasn't the most graceful in his comments when alfie signed with detroit.  You gonna say alfie deserved it?  I bet you won't.

Murray made things personal, simple as that.  Steve Yzerman did not.

I hold Melnyk more responsible for The Alfie thing than Murray.

No one can say Yzerman as a player was overrated.  Dude scored 700 goals and had 1700 points.  Also, 180 playoff points. 3 Cups.

Yeah, and that's fair. He doesn't deserve much credit, but still has done some smart things, like the Bishop/Conacher trade.

They're still San Jose though.

Kings are done. Sharks smell blood. Thornton smells dismantling of the core if they don't win.

SJ has a very legit shot at making the finals. This isn't the past years' Sharks. There's something different about them (cough Jones cough).

Winner of LA/SJ should beat winner of Nash/Ana. It's getting through Dallas/STL/Chicago that will be a challenge

Getting through Dallas will be pretty easy especially without seguin. They are a one round win team

Really? His .922 has him 8th among goalies with at least 2 starts. Sure, he's better than Niemi last time, but in 2013 Niemi had .930 and that was only good enough to get to game 7.

You're too stats dependent. Watch him play. He's cool as a cucumber.

I'm expecting (and drafted in my pool expecting) a conf final between StL and SJ. I'm happy if I'm right on that. Either can lose to Washington in the final and I'm be pleased as punch (and take home another hockey pool win for the year).

Stats or not, the Sharks have a long history and if the results are different this time it won't be just the goaltending change.
