Something tells me Stone is going to either miss a couple of games or be very ineffective for a while.

You gotta stick with Hammond. He gave them a chance to win. That's all you can ask of him.

That's how I see it too.

I still don't know what happened with the high stick to Pageau. Was there a call that got overturned? I didn't see any refs hands going up myself.

I think Neil has to play next game.

If we want to WIN? Yeah, obviously. If it were up to me it would have been Ceci and Lazar out and Neil and Ceci back in because there's not really anyone to take his spot really until Wideman is called up.

I'd leave the Pageau line alone and take out chiasson - not that he played poorly.

It's very simple, Wiercioch and Ceci got abused by their 4th line and that's the story of the game.
Either put Cowen in or mix the D pairings with one tough guy on each pairing.

Leave Ceci in but, bench him for most of the game?

Might as well go with the latter because as long as Ceci is in there, you will get the same result. Wiercioch could only carry him for so long and Cowen can't carry him at all.

I'd just sub in Neil personally. No big changes.

Here's a thought. Don't over react. Trust in your team and system and be ready next game. Insert Neil to police the regular slashing that's going un-noticed by the refs. If Ceci shows he's not ready then you shorten the bench and maybe call up Wideman.

My gut says that Cameron will stick to the "dance with the ones what brought ya" philosophy for Game 2 but we'll see...

You don't put wideman in right now. He'll get absolutely destroyed in this kind of game.

They need to watch video, get back to basics and play a sounder defence.

They will be better next game, and I fully expect to win this series even more than before.
We lost 4-3 with 100% of our players playing average to bad.

This game was a missed opportunity for our Senatores. With PK out for some of the game, and no Pacioretty, we found a way to lose. They were just better than us in game 1, and that extended through the forwards, defence, and goaltending.

I only see one other person here saying that Bobby R should be benched, but I fully agree with that. The guy has points in 3 of the last 20 games, and that's with the team red hot. He's contributing nothing, and looks tentative on offense. I know we're not deep on offense on RW, ESPECIALLY if Stone is not healthy anymore, but take Ryan out and put Neil in. Neil would've probably had points in about 3 of the last 20 games, while bringing more of a physical edge. I like Bobby as much as anyone, but the guy is not right.

Dave Cameron shouldn't have stated we'll be out for revenge...that sort of thing can go un-said.

I would agree that PK should get a game or two suspension. You see guys get suspended all the time for delivering dirty bodychecks to puck carriers...well in this case, it wasn't a "hockey play" (slashing isn't a hockey play), and Stone didn't have the puck. Yeah, maybe he was just trying to slash Stone's stick or whatever which you see many times a game, but he certainly missed the stick.

Hopefully Hammond the rest of the group are little less nervous for Game 2 and we can settle down a bit.

I wouldn't necessarily bench Ryan...yet. But man, he looks awful out there.

NHL discipline chief Stephane Quintal confirms P.K. Subban not facing any more discipline for slash on Stone. Penalty last night sufficed.
