To be fair, most of the mathematical formulas used to project playoff chances still have us around 10% which isn't out of the realm of the possible.

That said, not much in the team's recent play has indicated that there's hope for a nice long winning streak anytime soon.

Exactly. There's nothing to indicate this will turn around. They changed head coaches (More of a shuffle of roles) and there was no difference. Lehner has gotten worse as the season progressed and the guys coming back from injury are not going to have a major positive impact.

BoroCop and Neil are both skating with the team now, but neither will play tonight.  Looks like young Phillips will be scratched.

I guess they've decided to tank. Scratching The Philler is usually an automatic loss.

I guess we're at that point in a losing season where you start testing out some of the youth. This'll be a good test. I say we put the Gryba pairing out every single time young Lars hits the ice. See if we can't get him to poop his pants.

I'm personally trying to wait before I judge Cameron's team. Changes take time to implement. If they can play like they did for the first 30 minutes in the Dallas game for 60, they'll be fine.

This always seemed like a coaching thing to me. I think the biggest role of a NHL coach these days is to motivate and try to get the players going 100% for as close to 100% of the time as possible. P-Mac seemingly lost this ability over time, and I'm not sure D-Cam has it figured out yet.

This is one of the youngest teams in the league so we've been testing out the youth all season and we see the results. Time to wake up and realize the "young guns" are shooting blanks.

That tripping call on Stone is a Cussing joke. Who's the ref again tonight?  Who's getting the benefit of these calls?  Makes me puke. Puking2

Really solid game by the Sens, their game has improved by leaps and bounds.

PS Ryan is an absolute beast, what a trade.

A lot of dumb passes and plays toward the end of the 2nd...but yeah, they are taking advantage of a favourable situation tonight.

We get a regional broadcast on TSN and there's also a national broadcast on Sportsnet? Interesting. TSN please.

Not Cowen's finest game. He's having trouble with the speed of the Habs.

Should probably send Lazar back to junior if we're not using him. Rags did the same with Duclair after the World Jrs....no big deal.

Lazar going back to Jr makes sense... they will give him his 40 games though.

i can live with this. beating the habs all the time can save my season. nice to have pageau with a goal.
this is a perfect time to see who can take their game to the next level.

on a side note i was watching the RDS feed and they were saying they asked BM what was their chances of making the playoffs and apperently he said that he knew where they stood 10 points out of a playoff spot and knew what that meant. he said he was willing to listen to trade proposal.
so I guess murray is ready to make the right deal to free the roster.

Except for the parade to the penalty box, that was a great game by ottawa.
