I've watched entire games involving other teams in these playoffs and I can assure you that I'm not into any of them. Especially not the highly over-rated Wings. The Sens managed to find a way to play themselves out of the playoffs but they should be better than the Wings and they are certainly not far from the Penguins or Tampa Bay, who obviously made it in.

If the Penguins lose to Columbus, what happens with Fleury and Malkin?

Who cares about the West, anyway. You only have to beat one Western Conference team to get the Cup. And no matter how strong they are to start, they are worn out by the time they reach the Finals. Very often it's not the hardest team that makes it, but the one that had the easiest road to get there.

Malkin goes as a consolation prize to one of the losers of the Spezza sweeps. The Flower heads to Vancouver.

They were in their zone all night. I think Minnesota has finally figured out how to forecheck the Avs inexperienced Defense. That Granlund kid is something else.

It'll be interesting to see how Colorado responds...particularly if Patty Roy makes and dramatic adjustments.

His best offensive defenseman is out 6-8 weeks. They might be done unless Varlamov can steal a couple of games.

MAF in Vancouver would be very entertaining.

it will be interesting to see if they role with him next year in Pitts or will they use a compliance buyout on him and try and get something on FA market. I know miller wants to play in california but there doesn't seem to be a space for him there unless SJS pushes Niemi aside. he'd do best to stay with St-louis honestly. they could use him for a couple more seasons mentoring Jake Allen.

there's going to be a lot of options on the goalie market this summer. another reason to hold on to Anderson, at least till the trade deadline.

Who cares about the teams in the West right now, we're not supposed to be on their level. Boston and Pittsburgh in the East - anyone else, the Sens could have made a series against if they hadn't crapped the bed all year long - especially in the Edmonton/Calgary back to back losses.

You are trying to be those teams or on their level.  That's the building part of the "rebuild".

must be some sort of food poisoning going around. it's creating temporary delusions. Probably another ploy by Melnyk to destabilize the population in ottawa. try and get his way...
no kids, Alfie's not coming back, not unless Melnyk is run out of town... just saying.

Funny. I said it months ago and everyone thought I was crazy!

I think it all depends on what a Spezza trade brings in. I'm still thinking Voynov and Toffoli but who knows what ends up happening in St Louis and Anaheim after this round.

Yeah, the foundation is coming, but we all knew we weren't on their level...yet.

Alfie will not return to the Sens as long as Melnyk owns the team.. But that's just my opinion. After what went down over the contract dispute.. I don't think Alfie cares too much about Melnyk.

Does Alfie even play another year? Does he re-sign in Detroit or go to Boston.. where he probably should have gone in the first place...

no way. he might come back and be part of the org down the road but there's going to be some serious bridges to mend. or new ownership.

The loss of Tyson Barrie is huge for the Avs. Minny knew who to target. Cooke will not be playing this series... but he did Minny a big favour taking out Barrie.. I'm hoping the Avs win.. but you can't go against the experience of Minny...
