Another positive is hemsky/Spezza/Michalek. That is fun to watch

Well at least we know which Czech to sign this off season...

I'm not even sure why Philips kept pushing the one Pred player when the other one was going on a breakaway  scratch

great game, Hemsky is unreal and really opening up space for Spezza

Didn't play well in the first two, but that's why games are 60 minutes.

Too many people hating on Phillips.

I've enjoyed watching Neil, smith and greening, but I wish they were our 4th line and Zibanejad was our 3c with two scoring wingers.

When mac gets back, it's time for a michalek-zibby-greening line.

I'm curious now to see if stone could fit with spezza and hemsky

You'd split up Spezza, hemsky, Michalek?  smokeweedeveryday

Yeah i'd take michalek off that line. Hemsky and spezza are the ones with chemistry. Michalek might be better for us playing on the third line

still don't think they would sign Michalek personally. Too much risk with the injury. I think a banging LW would be good for that line.

Detroit plays Columbus tomorrow. I think by saturday we're 7 pts out, minimum. Season's over folks.

Could very well be... as long as they get Hemsky under contract going into next year they would probably be ok but they need wingers, no question.

At the end of the day the Sens grabbed a point last night but there is something serious missing from their game at this point.  I have no idea how a team with that much skill can be so buttery soft with and without the puck, teams simply out muscle and out-will the Sens in all 3 zones and there is really no push back.  This team is just begging for a player like Lazar to come in and come in soon.

This leads me to my next comment... wtf has happened to Zack Smith?  Where has his game been lately and what's he accomplishing out there on the ice?  I like Smith a lot but he needs to figure something out right now and be a difference maker.  His entire line needs to get something going on a more regular basis.

Think maybe you move Hoffman up on that line.  He's playing fantastic hockey and as soon as the confidence of being an NHL (and a good one it seems) comes he will produce.  Wasn't a fan of him at all and thought he was a tweener, guy has a lot of NHL qualities and the main ones being a shot and good speed.  Also a LH shot which that top lines needs.

Yep, those two extra shoves when he should have been turning to the guy with the puck. He's the last player back, he doesn't have the puck or the guy with the puck, there is only one thing he should be doing.

At the same time, when Spezza sees that Phillips is the last guy and he doesn't have control of the puck he should have gone to back him up, get behind him. But I guess Spezza is offense first. Mind you, when he saw the guy carrying the puck he put his head down and raced to backcheck, but simply ran out of gas and hope -- he was trying to get to the puck carrier, when he realized he had zero chance he gave up on the play and coasted but not for very long. I am not 100% convinced that he would have caught up to Jones but the optics weren't good in the last 2 seconds.

BTW, how do you have a two-on-none breakaway where the two are both defensemen? Karlsson was on the ice? Didn;t see *him* trying to backcheck.

Bad decisions, mistakes... seem to be the Sens thing this season. Bah.

They are missing the contribution from the Turris line.

The coaching this year has been questionable and you are starting to see it now, most teams have a clear system and identity and the Sens are still searching for anything aside from "throw sh*t and hope it sticks".  MacLean needs to figure this out because at the end of the day his team is rarely ready to play.

Hoffman and Turris both scored against the Jets and have been producing most of the year.
