He's getting old.

I think Edmonton are actually licking their lips thinking about the fact Mike Smith might not resign in Phoenix. in fact they probably have a prayer group set up night in day praying the situation down there doesn't get resolved.

Rangers hold on for the 4-3 win, series is tie 2-2 heading back to Washington.

MAF is terrible. they can't even trade the guy.

The only way we could ever face the Islanders is if both teams won the first two rounds. We cannot face them in the 2nd round. It's un-possible Smile

It's a bit complicated. I think this works:

1. Pens win: play Pittsburgh (we would be lowest seed with Islanders gone, Pens would be highest)
2. Pens lose, Caps win, Bruins win: play Boston
3. Pens lose, Caps win, Bruins lose: play Toronto
4. Pens lose, Caps lose: play Rangers
I think i'd rather play the rangers out of all those. i could say toronto but no way they make the second round.

What are the scenarios if Montreal stages a comeback?

I'd BAM you if you weren't sporting that 'stache.

You are all imitating me with this 'stache business, FYI.

LOL so Phaneuf goes for a big hit in OT, misses and causes a 2 on 1 and Bruins score to put the Leafs down 3-1 ? Laugh1

LOL. He had 4 assists, played 33 minutes, and finished with an even +/-. I think he's fine.

Both Boston and Toronto are ahead of the Rangers which means we'd play one of them if both Pittsburgh and Washington lose their series. There's no way we can face the Rangers in the 2nd round.

Yes, he was the third star. Getting 4 assists doesn't hurt. But he was brutal on the first two Leafs goals. Against a better goalie and a better defensive team they don't come back from that hole and he wears the goat horns.

Look, maybe it's a testament to how good he is, or how good his team is, or the coaching or whatever, but his is not the dominating Chara of a few years ago.

I agree he wasn't great in the 1st period, but he really got better as the game went on...not too shabby for an old guy!

Where would he be if Krejci didn't score a hatty? Or if Phaneuf decided that playing defense is more important?

Yeah, that was brutal... brutally delicious! He took responsibility for the loss after but man, bad decision, costly decision. Huge swing in the series. Tied 2-2 vs down 3-1.

I dunno why you go for a huge hit like that in OT. Just plain stupid. He's a mediocre defenseman and terrible captain.

In case any one missed it, this is Elisha Cuthbert (Phaneuf's "sloppy second") and April Reimer (James Reimer's wife) right after:
