i really like the pick by the flames ad their scout revealed that 3 other teams after them would have picked Jankowski so they had to grab him.

Yah I don't buy it. I hate it. I don't care how much upside he has there was nothing to compare him to in the league he was playing. Yah, they may look like wizards at the end of the day but the risk is so high it wasnt worth it IMO. But w/e, I'm not paid to watch these guys play or make decisions.

Detroit tends to pick guys they can work with and that they know they can develop. Every shot in that organization to turn into a player. A team like Columbus would say "yah, he's ready" when he's 19-20 and then he just busts.

Nobody mentioned Dansk going to Columbus, which means that Lehner/Bishop are definitely not in the equation now.

Columbus with another goaltender. Probably very smart.

They still need an NHL starter right now which they do not have, picking a goalie in a draft means nothing in terms of the current NHL or AHL teams. Won't be in the show for years.

Also means they can send a G prospect back to any team they trade for a "right now" goalie. Changes nothing, in my mind.

Possibly, but they have Mason and Bobrovsky right now.
