It's a freakin' re-build. What did you expect?

This young team cannot compete with the elite teams yet. They are okay against the mediocre and middle-of-the-pack teams.

I think some of you expect too much too early from the Sens. Blow up a re-building team?

Also -- thought it was funny that the write up of the game on TSN -- they had Sergie Gonchar as a healthy scratch.... just goes to show you... Sens get no respect from the Toronto media.

Missing Gonchar and Kuba is proving lethal for us. Diddle I hate losing... Grumbling

Not to defend Spezza too much, but Greening has to drift a little higher in the slot to force the Canuck Dman to choose between cutting off the passing lane to Michalek at the side of the net or Greening in the slot.

Oh the irony....those dumb arses should never have booed gonchar and kuba at the start of the season. Now they get their revenge StickmanDancing

They were garbage last year and they were garbage to start this season. They deserved the booing (just not during the intros at the opener). All credit to both of them for doing a complete 180 and becoming very valuable to this team.

I hope Gonchar can get back soon so Runblad can go down to Bingo and learn.

I liked his game considering his timing was going to be off a little. One of the better forwards last night IMO.

He won the draw clean. There is no excuse we did not even get a shot on goal after that. Blame him all you want, but Karlsson needs to get a shooter-tutor and practice hitting *the center* of the net for a while. He is missing a ton of shots and we are not talking about one-timers.

Also, they had two right-hand shots at the point with Alfie and Karlsson so Karlsson was always taking the pass in an awkward position. They really are missing that left-hand shot defenseman who can play the point. How long is Kuba out, anyway. They really should try Lee and/or Phillips out there, or one of our left-hand shooting forwards.

Rebuild or not, I expected a shot on the five-on-three. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Plus the "blow up" was clearly a joke.

The entire team was garbage at the start of the season. The goalies were playing horribly (the still aren't playing consistently well). I didn't think Kuba was bad at the start, although I thought Gonchar was still playing his slow-down-the-game game, except no-one else was joining in.

Doh! I totally forgot Gonchar was out too... man our D is in shambles with both of those guys out. The Rundblad/Karlsson pairing is nerve wracking.

My belief is that on a 5 on 3 you put your 5 most skilled guys out there and move the puck as fast as possible. Forget the big guy in front of the net. WIth a 2 man advantage you should be able to get an open net.

There's still a lot of good. Like Foligno playing a great game, Cowen being awesome, Regin coming back. Hopefully we can win next game and get back on a roll.

He needs a left handed shot. He's trying to pick a spot that's probably less then the size of a puck to get it through. Nothing was there and Spezza had control of the puck down low for a good chunk of time. He did nothing with it, he tried to force one pass and cleared the zone.

The biggest issue is no left handed shot for sure but it still runs through Spezza on the 1/2 wall. He's doing nothing for the power play when he's the go to guy out there.
