Regin is looking really good and if he's on the 2nd line with Filatov and Alfi, I think that could be something really solid.

Honestly it was like every play he was doing something mesmerizing. And he must have been out there for upwards of 25 minutes tonight.
Think of the numbers he would put up if you stuck him in Rafalski's old spot opposite Lidstrom in Detroit. That's the only part of this rebuild that bothers me: knowing how much better Karlsson's stat-sheet could look with a proper team around him. It's a pretty minor complaint all-told though and if we end up adding a Yakpov/Grigorenko/Forsberg/Galchenyuk-type at the draft hopefully we won't ever have that problem again.

Also I thought Zibanejad had a pretty lacklustre showing (although he played the game smartly and took short shifts). Agree with your statement on the other defencemen although it's still early.
