It just wouldn't be September unless Michalek was injured.

Meh, I don't know why people are finding negatives. These games are to find positives and focus on those who are making an impression. Filatov definatly has, same with Regin and Cowen.

Oh I'm just frustrated how we're in the penalty box the entire game and I can't see any offensive play.

There's postitives to be sure, Filatov doesn't even seem to be on the first PP unit.

There really is no "unit" right now. This game has basically 8 or 9 rookies for The Sens and they have stayed competitive with basically The Leafs regular season team.

Really liked Regin and Filatov. Karlsso again, awesome. Thought Auld was very solid. The only guy I noticed for a lot of bad reasons was Rundblad, his talent and offense is undinable though.

Solid game, they will get things straightend out for sure.

I definitely wanna see Filatov with Spezza.

I'd buy tickets just to see Karlsson, even if we go 0-82

Also the first chance to see some guys against more NHL level competition, though, and there seem to be some who weren't quite up to the challenge.

...not that I was expecting to win tonight. Frankly I was hoping Michalek wouldn't get injured.

Yep, they looked pretty good out there. Regin looked great...Filatov pretty good too.

Regin is looking really good and if he's on the 2nd line with Filatov and Alfi, I think that could be something really solid.

I've wanted that line since we traded for Filatov. I think with their skill, and the fact that they can all pass, and shoot, it could be a very dangerous line. Very quick line.

He took a shot in the arm. He should be fine (nothing to do with his knee).

Karlsson might be the most purely tallented D man in The NHL, just amazing.

Honestly it was like every play he was doing something mesmerizing. And he must have been out there for upwards of 25 minutes tonight.

Think of the numbers he would put up if you stuck him in Rafalski's old spot opposite Lidstrom in Detroit. That's the only part of this rebuild that bothers me: knowing how much better Karlsson's stat-sheet could look with a proper team around him. It's a pretty minor complaint all-told though and if we end up adding a Yakpov/Grigorenko/Forsberg/Galchenyuk-type at the draft hopefully we won't ever have that problem again.

Also I thought Zibanejad had a pretty lacklustre showing (although he played the game smartly and took short shifts). Agree with your statement on the other defencemen although it's still early.

Well, hockey's back boys and girls... should be an interesting season for sure. Focus on the good stuff tonight... it's pre-season. Lots of new faces, gonna be some silly moments for sure.

Apparently Kulemin was playing tonight. Didn't notice him at all.

That's a common myth. If you're good you will put up the numbers no matter what. Look at what Yandle did.

I honestly don't think The Sens are going to be that bad and I truly believe if Anderson plays 65-70 games, The Sens will get into the playoffs in the 7th or 8th spot. If MacLean can impliment his system right away and everyone buys in, The Sens are fine. I think they could really surprise if only one or two players really bounce back. They were no where as bad as they were last year and no where as good as an 11 game winning streak the year before, they fall somewhere in the middle.
