61.4% of eligible voters turned out at the polls. That's up slightly from 58.8% last election. BTW, my riding had an over 70% voter turnout.

It's stories like this that should provide some solace to all those afraid of a Conservative Majority. The Conservatives will need to tread lightly because if they aren't in line with what the electorate wants then the rest of Canada may throw their votes to NDP in the next general election in the form of a protest vote a la Quebec.
Would people prefer an NDP minority of even majority next election?

They have a majority, they can pretty much do what they want. They haven't
cared what the electorate wants so far, why would they start caring now ?
