Not sure if anyone is into Graphic Novels here, but if you are, you should check out Andi Ewington's debut GN called Forty-Five (or 45). The story is in a world where they have discovered the existence of the gene that provides a person with super powers, this expecting parent, who is also a journalist, interviews 45 different people that have powers, and try to understand what it's like to be the parent of a Super-S.
Anyways, it's a great read if you like Graphic Novels. Very different, not your usual GN. The other cool thing about it, is Ewington got 45 different artists to draw the portraits of each different Super S interviewed, so there are different styles for each interview. And these are all superheroes that Ewington created, so he can take liberties, like one of them was doing it for the money, one of them was retired and used his powers to help him run his restaurant. Really first class read.
