I dunno....that's the fun of what's going to be about 20 guys being waived in the next 48 hours. Who do you want, how much $$ do they make, where do they fit, why would we get them. :D

I would love to stick Ouellet on the wing with Spezza and Heatley personally. Go to the net, stick down and drive home some rebounds - then move Alfie down with Foligno and Winchester or Winchester and Vermette.

Or...a Foligno - Fisher - Ouelette 3rd line. Barf. You hate us so much, don't you. Or a Ruutu - Bass - Neil 4th line...boo hoo hoo. You don't get better than that. You bleed disaster onto teams with small forwards/defense.

Die! 8)

His player page for anyone who's interested.

116 pts in 187 games, not bad. Not sure we don't already have 3 or 4 of this guy though.

Big boy too. I'll take him.

MEH, younger, frencher Isbister, no?

Not really, he has a career in the NHL. I don't think you'll see him in the minors at any time. Plus, he's a back-to-back-to-back high teens in goals. If he can find his niche with a team looking for a big body to play, he'll easily get 20 goals. Easily!

Say we take him, who do you move out? I just think we already have a glut of forwards up front and Schubert is not impressing anyone on the backend.

If I remember correctly he played well against us when he was in Pitts when we went to the SCF. I suspect he could be a good fit if Murray thinks Winchester needs to spend time in the AHL.

I would take him in a heartbeat. I have always liked his potential. From his initial years in Pittsburgh to his year in Tampa Bay. This kid just needs a chance.

To try and sell you some more, have a look at his +/- from last year and than compare that to everybody else on the Lightning. He is the only player that played for Tampa Bay all of last year that is in the pluses. Not just a little plus either, +11. He is a good player and would love to see him in a Sens uniform.

Me too to be honest, but I just don't know where to put him. When McAmmond goes away, then we can put Donovan in the pressbox some nights and play Ouelette, but I doubt we sniff him. Any team would want a guy like this. Atlanta, Florida (him and Horton would have some fun)...the list goes on and on.

Couldn't trade him? Really? Small salary, UFA at the end of the year? Or does no one really want anything to do with the Lightning right now?

I think its going to get very interesting soon with the waiver wire. If I remember correctly I read some where that as soon as a team picks a player off the waiver wire that team goes to the back of the pack in priority. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong. If that is the case Murray will need to decide when is it a good time to grab someone. I think Oullett would be a good addition to the team and is still relatively cheap.

Ditto, some big names coming up. I think you're good with the waiver wire etc. You can claim as many as you want I thought. I could be wrong though.

Once you make a claim, you lose your waiver priority and fall to the back of the line. If you're really high up in the waiver queue, then, you want to use it wisely.

I don't see any need to claim this guy. We have 3 of him (or better) already, and a roster that needs pairing down as it is.

Yeah i did a little research on this guy... I like him too! I think he'd definitely be a nice fit on this team...

I think I posted this somewhere scratch , but apparently watching him skate is like watching someone skate on a shag carpet (he's really slow), so I doubt he fits in with our system.

Supposedly someone said here, that Murray offered Shanahan the same thing here.. an open tryout and Shanahan refused... He wants a guarenteed contract...

The Islanders also claimed Pock off of waivers.

I don't think that happened...I remember reading he did that with Glen Murray...but not Shanny...

I say get him signed!!

My lord those depth lines just made my balls wet. I think we should be looking like this though:

Heatley-Spezza-Oullet/Shanahan/Winchester
Alfie-Vermette-Fisher
Foligno-Kelly-Neil
Ruutu-Bass-Donovan
