Yeah it helps get me back in the Olympic spirit.

I live for the Olympics. I'll sit down and watch any nation in any sport. These are athletes who do it for the love of the sport.

I guess they wanted someone who was relevant the last time Canada hosted the Olympics. The Official GMHockey 2010 Winter Olympics Thread - All Talk Here! - Page 4 270956

Wouldn't Buble and Nelly Furtado be a better duet?

yeah me too (even Figure skating), just having it start the way it did today sucked the spirit right out of me.

But seeing his countrymen still come out and then team Canada really brings the mood up.

Yeah, it was courageous of Team Georgia to make the entrance. They left right away apparently, but I think that's a real show of respect for their fallen teammate.

I thought for sure this thread would be busier....I guess people aren't interested in the (non-hockey) Olympics?

Bryan Adams missed his cue for the lip-synch - hilarious.

During the First Nations bit at the start, which I liked, there was one guy standing behind one of the speakers chewing gum. Nice.

Seriously....I get the concept....but this is what they've come up with.......where's Canada's own Cirque-de' Solie (however it's spelt)

Now that would make an impressive and creepy opening, instead of just creepy

That is what happens when you are off being a photographer for more than a decade then get back on-stage. The Official GMHockey 2010 Winter Olympics Thread - All Talk Here! - Page 4 270956
