I get that it's mostly fluff, but the Filatov and Barker rumours - even the Weber rumours ( GAME DAY: Montreal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Mon. Dec. 28th, 2009 - Page 16 270956 ) - started with some sort of source. Did all this Edmonton fluff just spontaneously start, or is it in response to something?

The timing isn't great, though. Edmonton would have to be a bubble team by the time Spezza is fit to play to have any real interest. Unless they want to make amove for "next year" by then?

Edmonton is quickly getting into the Taylor Hall sweeps. Let's trade whatever is need for their 1st. They are only 5 wins ahead of Carolina....7 losses in a row and counting.
