With the number of goalies who are able to and do steal games, dominating on everything but the score sheet won't cut it. They have to find a way to beat the hot goalies, or they are toast

They make goalies look hot with low-percentage shots and no net-drive or traffic. That's been the problem for years.

That hot start had everything to do with Spezza and Heatley's production. After he signed his contract his play went down hill and is snow balling. It might have been his career high but it was his best offensive season. His production took a hit from what was once normal at the time.
This is his 3rd straight year in a drop in production.
By "Neely Reconing".
05=06: 90 pts
06-07: 87 pts (drop)
07-08: 92 pts (rise)
08-09: 73 pts (drop)
09-10: season not over yet
If he goes slightly better than a point per game the rest of the season he could actually still get to 73. Assuming he doesn't, though, this will be the *second* straight season where his point production dropped. Last year everyone sucked, so shouldn't he get a break along with Alfie, Fisher, Neil, even Philchenkov etc.?

Yeah, and by then we'll be out of the race completely.
WTF is wrong with Elliott? Can he not make a save anymore? Wow!
SeawaySensFan wrote:There's nothing wrong with Elliott. The only save he really could have had, ironically, is that 2 on 1.
Scoring and hard work were lacking last night.
As a power-play quarterback we have plenty. Karlsson showed me a lot last night. He was on a PP for a full 2 minutes where the Habs barely touched the puck and he was a big reason. The forwards weren't smart enough to create traffic for opportunities, unfortunately.

Seven powerplays and all we can do is hand it off to Alfie on each one and let him do everything. What a goddamn mess that was. Campoli's playing excellent hockey right now, but man, does this team need a PP QB or what? It's just too much.
I went to bed last night still stinging with disappointment and bitterness and I'm still 100% pissed off.
When does Murray call a spade a spade and say that he made a mistake and get Kovalev the Diddle out of here. What a useless hockey player that guy is. I was on board when we signed him thinking that he's have some games where he sucked, but he's also be good some of the time. Boy was I wrong.
And Spezza...I've defended you long enough. Either you're injured or you're now magically useless. Congratulations, you might just suck now.
REALLY pissed off. 2 points to the Habs, none for us, they're in 8th, we're in 7th by default.
