Spezza is not a number 1 center, he's a number one center with a 33 year old Alfi and a 25 year old Heatley ripping up The NHL.

Long story short, Fisher, number 1 center or not brings more to the team then Spezza does. Spezza will never hit the number he did when he was 22, 23 ever again, nooooo shot in hell.

This is what I don't understand. CLEARLY it's not working out with Alfie. Move Alfie back with Fisher, give Spezza Shannon or Cheechoo - or go out and buy him a rental sniper. People say a lot of things about Spezza (N4L), but the long and the short is he's very, very talented and he needs a finisher.

Having said that the consensus seems to be that Mike Fisher and Alex Ovechkin are essentially the same player. I wonder if it might be a good idea to deal Fisher to Washington and see if an opportunity to play with the "Great 8" helps Spezza?

This was said and agreed upon by about 3 or 4 people in the course of an NHL pre-game show. Ovechkin, Iginla and Fisher are about the same.
