Bah.

If tonight's the night that Spezza wakes up, we'll feel it a little less.
Tonight has to be that night. There is no other option. Spezza must explode for 4 goals.

If he explodes for one goal that would be a good place to start.

Honestly, if he plays well in his own end and can create some scoring chances (which he hasnt which is scary) you will not find a lot of people complainging. He doesnt have to light it up, he has to play consistant, be smart with the puck, and work hard... is it really all that difficault?

With Ottawa's number 1 center going down he does indeed have to step up and show his worth.

Bryan Murray is coming up on Hockey Central at noon. Hopefully he can give us an update on Fisher.

Here's the link to Nestea - who covered it:

- Unfortunate injury for Leclaire. Off the glass and hits him.
- Brian is a good goaltender, Pascale was playing well
- Knew that Brian could be a number 1 goalie, square to the puck always, a good test for him now
- Said to Spezza that he has to talk to him, talk about cars (haha)
- Not playing poorly, not producing goals that they need, but they have confidence that he will
- Clouston made some good changes in the game against Washington
- Spezza is a star player, good guy, wants to do well, he'll get points but he needs to shoot more
- Has to be more consistent with shooting
- Spezz and Kovy played together in preseason, but both want the puck alot.
- Fisher is producing alot because Kovy and him are a good pair and Kovy can find the open man
- Alfredsson is the greatest player on team to help other players
- Told Alfie: Spez needs you
- Opportunity down the road for Spez and Kovy of them to play together possibly
- Winchester and Regin stepped up against Washington
- Looking forward to get Atrain back, either tmrw night or at worst, Saturday
- Good thing about injuries: people are stepping up like Picard and Carkner
- Phillips has turned around his year very well, compared to last year
- Having Kuba and Phillips separated will make this team even better
- On Campoli: He,s played better. A good player, good mobility, not taking enough chances. Picked him up for mobility to d-corps. If he isn't doing things offensively, he isn't as effective.
- Nobody is out of it at this point in the playoff picture.
- A few conversations for trades about guys who aren't as productive as they should be. Involved in a few conversations. Not prepared to make any moves until we find out about younger guys.

He did say he expects Fisher to be a day or two and to have Volchi back tomorrow or at the latest on Saturday.

Good analysis by Murray. He really has a good grasp of how the team and individuals are doing.

Here's hoping Fisher is only out for a couple games. If so that means we'll have Kovalev, Fisher and A-Train all back in short order.
