Good decision. Assuming Markov didnt want it, there was no one else who was ready for it or deserved it.

Kostitsyn or Lappiere will be the captain one day though.

A 6'4" player who plays like a 5'4" player and isn't very productive? I don't see any reason for that other than the fact that he's French Canadian.

I'd sooner give it to Lapierre.

oh yeah they seem to have a lot of love for that guy, meh, it wasn't a vast majority mind you, it was like 20 people, but possibly some others in quebec/canada that are habs fans think the same way? Habs to start season without a Captain - Page 2 30582
