I don't think he means to infer anything negative towards Ottawa. In fact, I can see where he's coming from. Like Alfie, he loved it there, and they loved him. It's all good.

But still, it's thread worthy. Ahhhhh!

Nah, it's not like that I don't think. Before he dons the sweater on opening night, he's saying that until then, there's a special place in his heart for Montreal.

That's how I look at it anyway.

Oh, absolutely. This is about the future, this has nothing to do with the next 2 years here.

That's a bit of a shuddering thought. He knows Price's weaknesses and has the pin-point accuracy and release on his shot to find it...a lot.

My optimism for the coming season has taken a HUGE hit today.

First I started thinking about ALL that can go wrong by bringing a disgruntled Heatley back.
Then I read a blog about how Alfie dropped out of the top-50 in player rankings. It had me wondering if last year was just the start of his decline.
Then I started thinking about our defense without Karlsson.
Then I watched game highlights from the last 3 games of the 08-09 season and, even on highlights, saw all the glaring holes in Spezza's game.
Now this.

Which of you can sit there and say they didn't realize Kovalev was a hired gun? Hired for 2 years to snipe the Dung out of pucks and win games for the Ottawa Senators. Does he bleed the colours? No. Did we pay him to bleed? Not really. We did pay him to snipe the Dung out of pucks though.

I must say, this article scared the Dung out of me. I'm not comfortable with this at all. Why did he have to add to the drama that we already have? I don't understand why he would say these things to the media. Think it to yourself if you want, but don't go public with it. I hope this season doesn't turn into another gong show...

I am not sure why people are upset by this. He has played with Montreal for a while so it is only natural that he would want to retire there. He has his foundation set up there and his kids are already settled there. Does that mean that he wont play well for thr Sens, I think not.
