Wow, I didn't know Octomom already had six. Fertility treatments are not cheap. How does an unemployed single mother of six, living on social assistance, afford the services of a fertility specialist? Boggles the mind.
As to the matter at hand, this woman is most likely in for a lifetime of grief. Medical miracles happen (I've got two of them sleeping in a bedroom down the hall) but it would take much more than that in this case. For the record, our doctor also instructed us on selective reduction because of special circumstances (doesn't have to be a high number at all). Long after the decision though he did say that even had we gone for that, there was a high risk of losing the other one as well. Well, our "choices" are about to start grade 2 in a couple of weeks. Sadly, I don't see this happy outcome in this situation, though.
