There's a lot of rumblings of Kessel being traded to San Jose. If this goes down, you can cross another "deired" Smeatley destination off the list.

What? Sturm and Kessell for Cheechoo +? This would finish off SJ's trek for a Cup. Even if it's Michalek going as well. I doubt this can be pulled off. Sturm has a NMC and I heard he wouldn't waive it, even if he's been in SJ already.

What a massive trade this would be though. Ahhhhh!

Now it's coming across as not true at all and that Boston is looking at moving cap to sign him.

I wasn't aware Sturm had a NMC? It could be Bergeron, the odd man out then.

They might be looking to move Bergeron, yeah. Not to SJ though because of both team's cap issues, but it's possible.

So.................they didn't want to trade Kessel for Tomas Kaberle, but they'll trade him for..........Cheechoo.
Right......this all makes perfect sense to me now.
