With who will he sign? Interesting, he's a sturdy enough player for a team that needs a bottom 6 PKer who brings it every game.

According to a report on Boston.com, barring an 11th-hour change, Axelsson will sign a multiyear deal with another NHL team. The 34-year-old winger is the B’s longest-tenured player, having spent 11 seasons in Boston.

Says another NHL team. I'm curious...

Hopefully anywhere but Ottawa. He's a good player who will land on his feet somewhere, but we have a younger version of him in Kelly. Axelsson is redundant to us imo.

Note: Axlesson is godfather to Alfie's son Hugo I believe. Just sayin'. Personally if we make a move of Kelly (which I am not against), he makes real good sense...

Probably save some cap space too since PJ would come cheaper than Kelly. That's the only way I can support going after him though.

I remember hearing those Axelsson rumors around the deadline 2 years ago but nothing came of it.

One thing for sure, he would certainly help the Sens PK, and as Murder mentioned, he and Alfie have some good history.

I wouldn't be surprised if Murray made a play for him.

If we move Kelly I want Regin to center the third line. We are not a contending team, neither are we a team full of peach-fuzz rookies. There is no need for additional veteran presence here.

I noticed that Regin's linemates couldn't keep up with his creativity and hockey sense last year. I'd try him on the second line between Alfie and um, LW is tough...
