This is real and there's no going back. As long as Murray works his magic, it will be all good.

Heatley would never be allowed back in Clouston's locker room anymore after this, he would be the whipping boy and the other players would resent him.

Agreed at this stage with the backlash from the fans its caused one can only wonder how every team member is thinking. Murray, Clouston and the Sens don't need another side show going into training camp.

well we know how the Fish is thinking, Alfie won't say much however, same with Spezza.

I would love to hear what Spezza has to say about this. I wonder if this sours the friendship. If it does, maybe he will speak his mind.

Are they really friends, though? They enjoy playing together, because it's been a mutually-beneficial relationship. But are they close?

And then to hear he wants to be traded because he doesn't like the way Clouston wants him to work... after making $10M and being the highest paid player in the NHL?

Damn right I'm taking this personally!

But, I think we all realize now that it will be better in the end for the Sens and hopefully gives us the cap relief we need.

Cooler heads will prevail, and in Murray we trust.

I get your point but why stress the things you cannot control. I agree that cap relieve is need in this town.

Our lives will continue

It was confirmed by Heater's agent earlier this week on the Team 1200.

Probably the worst radio interview I have ever heard!

Heh. I certainly ain't stressing. Just disappointed. It is what it is and no matter what happens, we'll still cheer our Sens next season just as we always do.

I don't take it personally, I just now chose to hate. Not because of the spurning of the city but because he is selfish and spoiled... unless something else comes out here are the facts...

Heatley was paid $10M last year, more than any Senator or any NHLer
Heatley had the opportunity to play on arguably the best line in hockey
Heatley played a one dimensional game last year (even worse than in years previous)
His agent confirmed there was a rift with the coach and we know that the coach merely asked for accountability and effort...Heatley then asked for a trade

So I hate because I hate sucky little a-holes who have the world handed to them and complain that it is raining in parts of the world.. F-off for real!

I've heard it said that you can only truly hate if you still care.

Interesting speculation -- maybe Hartsburg *did try* to make players accountable, but Heatley told him or implied somehow that if he tries cutting his ice time he'll be gone. Who knows, maybe the bluff worked on Hartsburg but not on Clouston.

Sounds like a quote from an inexperienced hater....

Here's a quote from Drew Carey that pretty much sums it up....

'Oh, you hate your job? There's a support group for that... it's called EVERYBODY. They meet at the bar.' ... and I would like to add 'so F()ck off!'
