ya green has the best one timer on the D. U need to coach him properly and play him in offensive situations only. 5 on 5 malkin/cros vs green dun make sense ....

Is Green being poor at D surprising? He's an offensive defenceman. Think about how long it took Kaberle and Gonchar to learn to play defence.

Erik Karlsson's not going to be much better in his early years.
