I couldn't think of a better choice on the Sens aside from perhaps Volchenkov. Of course I think hands down it'll be Zednick winning this trophy.

Alfie is probably our best candidate to put forward from the Sens, but I am on board with you, Zednick getting the Masteron should be a lock.

zednick willl get it but how many other players can get two injuries and yet only miss two games..... surgery on the knee and broken jaw

I totally agree here. Getting your throat slashed and then coming back even stronger just trumps everything else unfortunately for Alfie.

Who have the Sens nominated in the past years? Is there a list?

I'm sure Alfie cut himself shaving a few times this year. Does that count?

Seriously, though, Malarchuk didn't get it in '88-89 (Tim Kerr) and in his case he returned to practice 4 days after surgery, and was back in goal a week after that.

Alfie missed one game after knee surgery and one more after breaking his jaw. Zednick took the rest of the year and the offseason off.
