I asked myself that question when PPV came into the picture and I didn't renew. Best money I ever saved.
I canceled my NHL CI package as well as the Sports Theme package. My Rogers bill was WAY too big. Time to start looking at expenses, again.

Jordo wrote:Can someone remind me why the hell I pay $30/month for Centre Ice when I can't get this game? Diddle this is frustrating. I bought the goddamned package to see every hockey game, as it clearly states. Awful.

Does anybody know if you can stream it online anywhere????

You aren't out of market though. CI is an out of market product. They don't guarantee anywhere that you will get every home game since they are still subject to blackouts.

I live in Calgary, and in theory, should get every Sens game, save for the one last month they played here. I too, have had games that weren't on CI. I had to pop for the extra cost of the NHL Network. Such a Diddle scam. It's not the $5 a month that pisses me off, it's the fact that I feel misled into buying CI for $200, then having to shell out another red cent.

The best place to watch hockey streams is hockeystreams.com. It's a pay site, but it's way way better than the NHL's GameCentre, and you can sign up for HD. It's only 50 for the entire year. Next year I dump CI and go with that. Diddle it.

The problem these days is TSN2 and NHL Network have exclusive games that NHL CI can't touch. So, unless you subscribe to everything, chances are you'll miss a few games.

Yeah. I dunno what's worse. Having the Sens be a top team and potentially missing games, or having them suck like they do now, and thinking to myself: "Am I actually paying for this Dung?"

Their sucky season didn't factor in my canceling services... it was just too much money going to Rogers every month.

So basically, we can blame you for the Blue Jays being mediocre for the past decade and a half? They need that money to compete with the BoSox and Skankees. :lol!:

hehe.

Fortunately, I live in Calgary so we don't have Rogers for cable. We have Shaw. Of course I still pay $120 for the family cell phone plan with Rogers, and that's the bare bones packages Sad

Their 2008 #1 C Josh Bailey would be interesting as part of that potential package.
http://forecaster.canada.com/faceoff/hockey/player.cgi?6604

But is such a deal within the realm of possibility?

The Isles essentially have to come up with a roster. Their prospects are thin as well. Josh Bailey may be their best, but he's hit and miss. They can keep him for all I care.

Here's what I came up with a couple of weeks ago:

Spezza (or Heatley), Kelly, Lee, Schubert and SJ 1st

for Hunter, Park, Streit and NYI 1st

They could redeem themselves from the Yashin trade to some degree by gettin Spezza, some young NHLers and they still get to pick in the 1st round and we get a gritty, scoring winger a short-term replacement for Kelly and a PMD who has proven most skeptics wrong and we move up in the draft.

It solves a lot of our problems, we keep Heatley (or Spezza) we don't suck next year (which obviously isn't an option anyway), we keep our pick.

It needs a little work, but I think it's a good start.
They keep Streit (for a guy who so wants to get rid of Fisher and his bad contract, I'm surprised to see you suggest taking on another bad contract...) and we keep Lee and SJ1st. So it becomes:

Spezza, Kelly, Schubert
for
Hunter (love that), Park, NYI 1

Of course this Foligno-Regin-Winchester line looks better than any other line of ours...Such an embarassment.
