Plugging those numbers out over a full season would (obviously) give him 38 goals, 94 points and +42.

He's the best offensive defenceman in the game. By 2010 his defensive game should improve.

If he scores tonight, he'll set an NHL record with goals in 7 straight games as a defenceman.

That's actually stupid. Wow.

So...

Weber - Phaneuf
Boyle - Keith
Bouwmeester - Green

extra D-men: Pronger, Burns*

*I replaced Burns with Keith because Keith is the Dung. Unless Burns gets back on track, the only way I see him going is as an extra.

PS, Don't pay attention to the pairings obviously. They're all just jumbled together.

That's one sexy D.

My suspicion is that he does and replaces Boyle.

If you're going by current performances, Phaneuf might not even be an extra at this point.

Ya, I dunno, I keep re-thinking things, even with the goaltenders. I think you may end up see Mike Smith there perhaps or Price as the number 3 guy.

D, Canada is deep I dont even know if there is a bad answer or guess to who will be there.

I doubt Price would be there even as a 3rd goalie as he is having huge confidence issues that Yzerman cannot overlook. I have speculation that Brodeur might not even be there, depending on how his injury pans out and well, he will be even closer to 40 at that time. Lu is a definite # 1, but after that, could be up for grabs if Brodeur isn't in the picture.

I think Smith, Price, Jiggy, and Mason will get the looks.

Giguere should be right up there for sure, who wants to guess that Hillier gets the nod over Gerber for the Swiss?

Duncan Keith will be there without question I'd say. He's awesome. By the time the teams are picked, I doubt there will be any question whether he's deserving. He is way, way more deserving than Pronger, who was a pilon last time.

Straight up, the only guy I'd take over Keith from the 6 starters you mentioned, is Weber. Not even Phaneuf (he's not great in his own end).

Also, you are forgetting Mike Green.

Green-Weber
Keith-Phaneuf
Bouwmeester-Boyle

Burns as the 7th man. The benefit there is that he can play up front if needed.

Now factor in the two goals he scored tonight and he'd be on pace for a 41 goal, 96 point season. Razz

Could you imagine if he would get on that kind of tear and finish a season with those kind of points. Unreal!
