Mendes says Michalek didn't look good on the ice at all. Doesn't seem he is ready to return anytime soon. He did wear a contact jersey though.

So I don't know where you get your information, Hoags, but you're going all TMZ on the facts.

He was up with the team at the start of the year and they didn't give him a game before sending him down.

What's your point?
Ev wrote:his point was they wouldn't start him against the best team in the East just to give him a game...

I don't think that's his point at all.
Anyone who knows anything about how the Murrays and MacStache work, know that hard work and results are rewarded. Lehner has been great in the AHL. The plan was to get him some NHL work at some point this season if he was a good soldier in Bingo, and that's been the case.
They were carrying three goalies for the first two games of the year, and in both of those games, was phenomenal. Lehner was the only goalie who could be sent down without waivers. That's why he didn't get a game when he was with us at the start of the season. This could very well be the last time he's with the big club this season, so they almost have to give him this game as a reward.

Or maybe it's because last time he faced the Bruins he had a 1-0 shutout.
