Note On that one good chance that Turris and Aflie had, where Alfie tried to bat a puck out of the air, I don't think it would have lead to a goal even if he connected, cause Garon was in position.

But those two are having a hard time connecting lately, and Turris, as nice of a shot he has, can't hit the net. Sound familiar? Mike Fisher anyone Wink

I may be in the minority here, but that had to be one of the luckiest shutouts the sens have gotten. I thought they were thoroughly outplayed for the first 2 periods. Tampa botched some plays, and didn't bury the golden opportunities presented to them (some foiled by anderson, some just shot wide). Sens broke down defensively a lot, felt like a very sloppy game.

Good for anderson to get the shutout, he needed this. I thought he was shaky at first (see how horribly out-of-position he was on Stamkos in the first period; got lucky stamkos hit the side of the net) but settled down and was solid the rest of the way. Just gotta stay in his net and stop flopping like a fish out of the water

Heh. Yeah, saw the highlights this morning... Anderson was waaaaay out on that one. Got lucky for sure.

I thought Turris was excellent. Gave TB fits all night and took some focus off Spezza.

I think Turris is good most games, but I also see him starting to lose stamina

He probably needs more bulk.

By that logic, Dustin Penner has the most stamina in the league.

We need to get that guy so he can share his bulkifying strategies with our under-bulked youngsters.

We could call up Lehner to fill the resident fat-man role. Or maybe consult boo-boo.

I think it's gonna happen and it'll be noticeable. Like Cowen, like Z.Smith (who might be even more destroyed than Cowen right now), Greening still churns those tree trunks of his, but I think he's a little tired too. Condra is less noticeable as well, although he seems to still have 'game'.

I think...nay, hope, that we saw the hitting-of-the-brick-walls in that 7 game losing streak and now they'll bounce back, but I worry about Turris...

A big long break after tonight may help. This is where our relatively light schedule from here on out may really give us an edge.

Pretty ironic when you consider that the schedule was designed to take us out of contention in the first half. Wink

Turris will be fine. He missed so much of the season anyway.

Hard to say. He worked hard when he wasn't playing, that much is obvious right now, but can that last before he gets worn down? Hopefully not...
