Yeah, I posted the same last night before hitting the hay. If I was to name the two best forwards, they would have been Filatov and Regin. Regin looked really confident with the puck and made a few really smart, sharp passes.

Same with Filatov. The pass to Cowen from behind the net isn't really something you can teach, that's a great instinctive pass.

And no one should read much into this one game regarding Zibanejad or Rundblad. Karlsson took some time to get comfortable with NHL speed, Rundblad will be the same. While, Zibanejad looked real tentative at times, he's 18 and he get better and better as the game went on.

I bet both Rundblad and Zibanejad get better by a lot as the pre-season goes on.

Also, to add to what Tim - and others - were saying.

How hard is it to study the names of the players before you do a broadcast. Whoever the old sounding nerd was (Bowen?), learn the names bunghole. Wow.

RundBLAD, not Rundbald you fool. And no, Zibanejad is not hard to say. What were you doing all summer?

It's like sight reading in music. Some people just can't. But take that sheet home and practice and it (usually) becomes a lot easier.

BTW, in the rookie tournament the Team 1200 announcers pronounced Petterson's name more like Patterson than Pedderson. IMO. Probably going for Pay-ter-sun, which someone said is the actual correct pronunciation.

Really? I thought it was PET-ersson. Not that it matters I guess.

I didn't think it was racist, just laziness and contempt for the visiting team (no surprise there).

I believe they called Filatov a bust even though he has a higher PPG in the NHL than Kadri.

I heard Pay-ter-son is how you're supposed to pronounce it as well.

It's not as bad a when he called Kadri "Shawarma Boy." That was brutal.

Wow did he really do that ??

Not quite. I just filled in some blanks based on Triple-K Bowen's reputation.

Was funny to watch him call Rumball, Runbald instead of RundBLAD Laughing3

I wonder who we'll see next game, I imagine most of the players who played last night will sit (since we got almost 60 at training camp).

Triple-K was probably thirsty. He's a rubadub or "rummy", if you will. Beer

Wiercioch weighed in at 205 after spending the summer working with a trainer. Maybe he needs to adjust to his new weight class?

Typically the Sens put out a "stacked" lineup for their home games. Expect Spezza, Alfie, Gonchar, Phillips, Anderson, etc.

Spezza, Alfie, Michalek, Butler, Filatov, Zibanejad, Da Costa, Gonchar, Phillips, Karlsson, Cowen, Rundblad, Anderson on roster 4 tmrw

We are up against the defending champs though ....

I can't wait to get me an official Sens egg roll. Facepalm Ugh. That just sounds wrong.

I don't get the egg roll comment. But it's making me hungry.

So, when's the next game?

If you say "Sens egg roll", Joe "Triple-K" Bowen says, "when did Richard Park sign with Ottawa?" When will he learn?
