What's the hate with McGuire in here? At least he knows how to say the players' names and he actually knows more about the players than any of the other TSN broadcasters.

I don't hate him really just sometimes he gets insanely annoying with his gushing over certain players. He can be entertaining sometimes (mostly when he's not doing Sens games) but I'd rather not listening to him bashing our team over and over again

He's bashing whoever plays poorly IMO. I listen to him on the radio every morning, and I agree most of the time. In fact the only time I disagreed with him was the Elliott bashing of last year but appart from that, I think he's mostly objective.

Well, Pierre Knows Everything (that was the name of a weekly segment they used to have on Team1200). Unfortunately he also Knows Everyone. He over-praises some people. He said that Elliott will never be a true #1 in the NHL. He called Snes fans provincial and most of us are sophisticated enough to know what that means. He's like an annoying little rodent on TV (quite different from his radio persona). His "Monster" bit is lame -- like they're trying to aim hockey at 4-year-olds (don't they know that TSN isn't *available* to Americans?)

Ya that pretty much sums up how I feel listening to him during games. I don't question his knowledge/passion just his over excitement

Part of it stems from the last broadcast I saw where he used the words "Compete Meter" four times in a 15 second commentary.
