Sharks and Ducks on Saturday night! Should be another interesting game. Ducks home opener and season opener.

Heatley's getting it pretty good today. Melnyk sort of expanded on his disappointment and Kevin Lowe used some pretty strong language describe his feelings on the "Heatley fiasco" this morning.

I wish I could tell you for sure because he didn't dance around his feelings. I wish I could remember his exact words. Here's a pick me up... - Page 2 42360

Check this beauty quote from Heatley...

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=500741&cmpid=rss-wigge

"For me, it's learning to play within this system. That's first," Heatley continued. "But what I see with Todd McLellan's style of play is that you do your job both ways and Todd gives you the green light to do the things you do the best. This system rewards you for being you."

No sir. The system rewards you for being a team player.

He just does not get it. At all.

Nice. Team 1200 posts their interviews reasonably quickly. Yesterdays are up today. KLowes should be up in the coming days.

Yeah, that statement doesn't make very much sense at all either. He seems to be saying, if I back check hard and play a good two-way game I get rewarded with more ice time so I can loaf around the slot with my stick in the air hoping to score. He contradicts himself to a degree within the same statement.

Is the coach Todd McLellan or Stuart Smalley?

If by learn to play the system he means float around, take too long a shift, get scored on 3 times (2 of which were directly his man), then yeah, he's learning the system alright.

Studs and duds... I'm not going to miss Heatley's "defence"
I love it, -3 on the night, Ottawa is not looking so bad is it buddy, especially since the supposed "worst" team in the league just owned you.

Friday, November 27, Shark-Boy Dany Heatley will be in Edmonton. Just four days later, when he comes "home" from the mini road trip he will be hosting the Senators' 4th line. I hope Ruutu and Neil are circling that date -- December 1 -- in their calendars.

I think Carkner should be inserted for that game to give Heatley a bit of the biz into the boards.

Bring up Yablonski as well.

What's Yablonski going to do with Heatley? It's not like Heatley will accept an invitation, so it will be like Yabo dueling Heatley's second while Dany is on the sidelines sipping his tea. And I think Carkner would not have much of a shot at him either, since Dany rarely goes to the net. Volchenkov and Ruutu/Neil is all we need.

Yabo will earn his instigator penalty and then some.

Wink

Heh heh.

Just wishful thinking... some good physical play by the 4th line should wear him down.
