My daughter might like that one... put a Dora sticker on it and she'd be sold.

I wonder if you need the external fan to prevent the overheating like the larger units.

It's the 360's that overheat... They were also the ones that had that ring of death if the console was moved while playing a game.

Who exactly is moving the console while playing?

Seriously eh? I always wondered that... But the game would be ruined, and a lot of people complained, even though it's insanely easy to avoid. But some people need to be told everything... I'm surprised people didn't get pissed off that these consoles can't survive a 4 story drop.

hmmm I thought it was ps3's as well, my father in law bought an external fan to put on his PS3 to ensure it doesn't overheat, but he is also very aloof when it comes to electronics and a shrewd salesman may have forced him into that.

I personally haven't had any problems with mine, and I've had it for about a year and a half now. And I live in an apartment that overheats and doesn't have airconditioning, and i have a somewhat addictive personality wherein when i buy a new game i usually devote the next 9 hours to getting good at it.

But it's time to buy it... Get'er done Murray... errrr... SensFan71

hmmm makes me think more that it was just a sales pitch gone over the top. I see you are like me that way, I can get so enveloped in a game sometimes the time just melts away, I have a bit more leverage this time on getting the PS3 now that it is cheaper, saves power and saves space. how do you handle the elongated playing times with the wireless controllers? my father in law again seemed to have to pause his game numerous times if the controller wasn't charged.

I've gotten good at charging it after having played it... The fully charged controller lasts quite a surprisingly long time. But i have 3 controllers, so i'll just switch to a backup one. I'm a fan of multiplayer both online and with friends in the room, so i bought 2 extra controllers for that reason.

But you can play with the USB cable plugged in. Unfortunately it's only a 4-5 foot cable. It's standard mini USB in case you have your own longer one though. And i'm not sure if you are big on downloading movies, but it has the codecs so you can watch them on there as well. I love my PS3!

then I am assuming he doesn't charge his controller enough, he barely gets to play more than an hour and the red lights start to blink. I told him he should charge it overnight, but he no listen to me. I am not big on online game, getting beaten by 12 year old punks deflates the ego lol. I don't download movies either, so won't be wasting hard drive space on that, it's a game machine and will be the occassional blue ray dvd player when we rent movies.

Well, what I do is download onto my computer and then put it onto a USB key and then plug that into the PS3 and watch it on there.

I know what you mean about online. I only play Call of Duty online, and only because i derive joy from making children cry. The sad thing is when people send you messages in an attempt to trash talk you. It's really quite sad.

always such a critic, this wasn't designed by Apple to look pretty, it's the functionality of the hardware, not the look, sheesh :^^^^:
HA HA!

This is a Sony product though...

They too love the flashy...

Wink

Which means that if it had a volume button, it would fall off. Every walkman I ever owned by Sony did that. Pricks.

Is that what those empty spots on my Walkmans were supposed to be?
