I guess Smid is an Oiler for good now. Wonder if that means he's out of any Sens/Oilers deal should one happen

Well, he had to be signed anyway. He was a RFA

i think we're seing more and more possibilities of trades for heat right now that are better then the oilers deal. so they can keep him.
