Paddock is the one who let him off the hook a few times, and the one time he got "caught" he told the media Ray wasn't feeling well. So John looked out for Emery.

On the other hand, the Emery situation directly led to Paddock getting fired.

There will be mixed feelings, for sure.

You're right, I think Paddock was the good cop and Hartsburg was the bad cop. Neither worked.

I'm watching The Caps/Pens series from 96 and OMG does Jim Carey ever look like Emery... Hopefully Philly's D will be better then Washington's haha, if not, he is gonna get lit right up.

They certainly are insulating Emery in Philly. They've got a pretty slick D.
