Fair point, but we're planning on taking the defenceman this time.

If you look at the players, this is about as close as you can get to a do-over.

LOL. Bernard, Daigle, Phillips. Every first overall pick of ours have been busts.

LOL. Bernard, Daigle, Phillips. Every first overall pick of ours have been busts.

Daigle yes. But the Sens dressed him up a nurse for a hockey card. I think that killed any manhood he had. Phillips has never lived up to the typical top pick billing, but he isn't exactly Doug Wickenheiser. Berard was never the same after Hossa pitchforked his eye out. Understandable I suppose.

Phillips perhaps hasn't panned out but that draft in general was pretty bad. From my recollection, the only other good player in the draft was Danny Briere.

Zdeno Chara, Tomas Kaberle

plus:JP Dumont, Ruslan Salei, Danius Zubrus, Marco Sturm, Mathieu Garon, Colin White, Tom Poti, Michal Rossival.
