They need to come up with GameCenter on a Team by Team basis. Put together a package for just Sens games at a good price. I don't want to have to get every single game, just my team's games.tim1_2 wrote:SeawaySensFan wrote:rooneypoo wrote:I will have to look into that, long term. Of course, if I end up living in the states, I'm just going to get NHL Centre Ice (the online version). Great for out of market cities.
I don't think I'm ever going back to cable/satellite. I just got hooked up to over-the-air HD and it's sickening how superior it is to anything coming in on a wire. As far as sports go, if I'm going to pay, it'll be GameCentre for sure. Best thing going.
I agree that GameCentre is awesome. My buddy who works for the Sens gets a free subscription to that, and I was at his place the other day and he was using it, through his laptop, to stream games to his TV. The picture quality was great (HD), you had a choice between the home or away broadcast, and all the summary/highlight videos of games that had ended were well-done.
Quite amazing actually.

Is it too late for the Sens to retaliate, by the way? Statute of limitations?

GameCenter currently costs $120, which seems REALLY reasonable. Even $120 for just the Sens games works out to about $1.50 each.
I think this might be a promo price now that the season is half over, though? Anyone know if it's always this cheap?

Isn't Game Center region-specific? Like NHL Center Ice? I.e., it'll show you every game, but not games broadcast in your area -- those get blacked out. That's how Center Ice works, anyway -- if you live in Ottawa and only want to see OTT games, you don't get Center Ice, you get a sports package. I bought Center Ice for years when I was with Bell.

Diddle that, he is THE ALFIE. NO ONE diddles WITH THE ALFIE.

Yeah, but you just do that thing where you make it look like your IP address is originating somewhere out-of-market...like Thunder Bay (talk about middle of Cussing nowhere) or something. You can tell I'm technically-inclined by the use of jargon, such as "IP address" and "Thunder Bay".
