Eklund is saying Heatley to Columbus is an E4... for what its worth.
Filitov back from Columbus would be nothing short of awesome.

Just checked - he's calling it Filatov, Brassard, plus maybe Huselius.

I would say it is Filatov or Brassard. Brassard is a center too so that would mean Filatov coming back... I dont buy it but it's a nice thought.

I know! i just saw that and nearly fell off my chair... i know if it's from EK it means absolutely nothing but just to dream a little... filatov, brassard and husulius.
4,750,000 + 1,246,667 + 2,225,000... that's roughly 8.25 million in cap... that won't fit with what kovy just ate out of our cap... oh EK...
i'll take brassar and filatov just by themselves though...

Do you guys really think Columbus will give theri 2 best young players for Heatley when the competition's offer is Cogliano and Penner? :KJK:

Competition will have to table a better offer.
But, no, I don't believe that for a second.

Maybe they wouldn't have if Nash was on his way out, as they'd need to replace him. But now that he's signed for almost the next decade, yeah, maybe. And the money is right now too.
This should be the return for a Dany Heatley, not the bits and pieces offer we got from Edmonton.

the return we would like to have but not the reality of what will come.
i could see heatley thinking columbus could be a good place though... nash being there for a long time. still they won't give up that much when the world found out what we'd accept in a trade.

Although Murray did say the price would go up after July 1st.

Re: Summer Dany Heatley hits
If Heatley won't go to Edmonton, then their offer is irrelevant as a comparable.
Take what you can and move on. If Heatley does go to Columbus, the Sens will get an extra gate of 500-600K for a Columbus game. A slight easing of the pain for Eugene Melnyk.

His wording seems to suggest that he doesn't have a clue (like always but maybe a little more honest this time). He is pretty much just throwing names out.
Possible players that could be heading to Ottawa include Filotov, Brassard, and Huselius
For Eklund he is being surprisingly non committal about rumours. Regardless, I am sure it is still BS.

I disagree, the offer is still very relevant. It is still the only deal on the table that Murray has deemed acceptable. It does set the market even if it represents a deal that will never come to fruition.

hell no, GM's will keep trying to low ball Murray on this until Murray decides to accept or just tells all GM's to go away and we are keeping him.
