It's a SAD, SAD day NHL fans!!

Post by Cronie on Thu Feb 26, 2009 11:12 am

Well, it appears the powers-that-be at the NHL have taken legal action against ATDHE.net and now, no more free streaming games...!

I think I speak for a LOT of people when I say: "F****************CK!!!"

The NHL hates it when hockey fans get to see their games for free.

Well if you look in the sticky in the Ottawa forum there's another internet option. I haven't checked it out but perhaps the NHL takes it's time finding that one?

I hear ya PK... IF the NHL are SO concerned about $$ and revenue, here's a novel idea: shave Buttman's salary for starters, or better yet, relieve him of his duties and I bet you that ALONE will rejuvenate this league...

Dung. I'm so frustrated with the NHL. For one, like many people, I am not considered to be in "Sens Territory" and I cannot see many of the games I would normally be allowed to see, broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet. I am paying Bell to subscribe to the HD package that features the 4 different Sportsnet Stations (Pacific, West, East, Ontario) and they are there, not being used, advertising the game, but because of my location, blacked out. It's is the stupidest thing I have ever dealt with. Like many people, the money to subscribe to their Center Ice package just isn't there. You'd think they'd be happy with people actually wanting to watch a game that advertisers pay to endorse. Diddle the NHL and their greed.

OK so first they shut down the game day streaming thread at myp2p, and now adthe is down too. What's the next move, forcing you to subscribe to Center Ice?

in the capitalist world, yes, but they will do it through subliminal messages in Tim Horton's commercials.

NHLGamecenter.com is pretty decent but it's still $25 a month. That's a real bummer about ATDHE.
