Hey, that's true -- the images in the sigs are still there.

Duchene with his first NHL goal!

Against the Red Wings. Fitting.

Kid should have had 4 or 5 by now the way he's been playing.

Phoenix just scored, up 2-0 on Boston almost halfway through the second period. There's another team struggling out of the gate.

Also as a side note, I believe the announced attendance in Phoenix is 6900 tonight.

That team can't possibly survive there with that happening.

Haven't you heard? The Coyotes are moving to Quebec.

Those numbers are padded as much as 4K -- they give away alot of tickets, sell tickets at huge discounts). For certain games they win they give away tickets to all ticket holders, and they've been winning a lot!

If a 5-2 team, leading their division, cannot even sell as many tickets as the Sens did when they were playing at the Civic Center, then there is no hope whatsoever for that franchise in that location. The writing isn't just on the wall, it's a freaking flashing neon sign.

American cities, no matter the sport, respect winning. All it takes is one post-season birth for that franchise to gain a little traction. Early season attendance records are irrelevant and should have been expected, given the off-season turmoil surrounding the team. Talk of moving the franchise is about as premature as it gets...This isn't just "some market" ... this is the 4th largest market in the entire country. This is also a team with a decent foundation from which to build a winner. Now that Gretzky and his cronies are out of the way, they can get some of the right people in there and maybe experience some success.

Its a lot like Microsoft sticking it out in China in the 90's, despite the restrictions and piracy. There's so much potential for success, it's just good business sense to stick it out.

Anyone see the Oilers-Canucks game tonight?

Wellwood had an absolutely unbelievable goal that would have tied it up at 2, but the clock had run out about half a second earlier.

Wow.

NHL has full highlights of the game, including the too-late goal. Nice dipsy doodle but with under 5 seconds to go when he crossed his own blue-line I'm stunned that the D didn't stand him up better and plow him before he got to the face off circle, instead of looking down at the puck at his feet.

Crosby with a hattrick against the Habs. 9 goals on the year now.
