yeah, but we lost, too, so it's all good!

Are we afraid that Ottawa is so bad that they can't even lose when they're supposed to?

Goodness, that's pathetic. And sadly, it would fit in perfectly with the way the season has gone so far...

So, Gainey didn't do much because he felt he was happy with his team.

After a 5-1 loss to Buffalo (granted Lalime put in a 38-save performance), he may be regretting that decision. The Habs did put in a good effort though, putting 18 shots on net in the first.

Holland feels a little better as the Wings defeat the Avs (quelle surprise) 3-2. Even nicer must be that the victory came without needing production from his three biggest offensive stars in Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Hossa (who of course was injured but who I read was supposed to accompany the team on the trip).

Emery is 2-0 in three games as Atlant smoked Tractor in the opening round of the playoffs. Still not sure how he is 2-0 but appeared in 3 games. Their other goalie is listed as 1 game, 0-0 record (faced just 3 shots). So neither one got the third win?

Emery's playoff stats? .979 SV% and 0.69 GAA. They finished 5th so they were playing the 12th seed, but still, that's pretty impressive.

Just found a story -- Emery was pulled in a 5-1 game to get Kolesnik some ice time. It was only the last 7-8 minutes.

Am loving that the Habs got smoked, their time to contend is waning, if they can even contend with Price as their # 1, assuming he still is.

A playoff spot is not a given for Montreal at this point.

With what Buffalo and Carolina, plus Pittsburgh did to improve their teams, can imagine Montreal will be left out of the playoff picture, that would have to be a first for awhile, all 3 canadian teams in the east out of the playoffs.

I can't even remember, did Carolina do anything other than Erik Cole?

Clearly that wasn't a good trade for the Flames...
