The Sens face the Bruins on "Corvo retribution" night. After the Sens gave the Bruins something to think about in bringing the game to within one goal on Saturday, thanks to Alfie, Ottawa comes to town with a new D man and likely a different goalie in the net. Lehner played well against the Islanders and will look to build off that tonight.

I expect to see a hungry Sens team looking to prove themselves against an elite team in the east. A hard fought 60 minute effort should pay off.

So... is our new boy Gilroy in the lineup tonight?

And will it be "Fight Night in Beantown"? Featuring Joe "the wife beater" Corvo vs Kyle "the desert deserter" Turris. Heh heh.

GO SENS GO!!!

Kyle Turris is not a fighter. Neither is Corvo, but he is quite a bit bigger.

Both players have one fight this year:

Corvo won over Joey Crabb, while Turris lost a close decision to Briere.

I don't think I'd pay money to see these two go at it. But if they do,Ifully expect Turris to lose unless he fights dirty. And that would be delicious, too.

The best case scenario might be Turris fighting Corvo. Don't want him to be the target of Lucic, Chara, Marchand, or Thornton.

Anyway, I expect a great game...I'm guessing Lehner will be in net for us, and it'll be Timmy T for the Bs?

Team 1200 this morning said Gilroy will be in the lineup wearing #97.

I really wonder if they'll fight. If Marchand, Lucic etc. do anything funny I would expect the NHL to step in and drop the Shanahammer, although he hasn't exactly stepped up to punish those that hurt our players.

I'm sure there's been discussions between the Bruins and NHL after his comments not to do anything dirty and I'm sure the NHL will be watching the game closely. I hope the Sens talked to the NHL to ensure this happened.

Given the talk about this, I highly doubt there will be a fight at all.

Au contraire mon frere... the hype has created a situation where they simply MUST fight. No way out of it. Wink

Big test for him, let's see how he handles the defending champs in their own building.

I think he'll be fine. The kid seems to be better under pressure. He almost needs to have the pressure to perform. Perhaps that's a big part of why they brought in Bishop. Put some pressure on him to step up?

That, or they actually want Bingo to win some games for a change. Sarcasm

Definitely a big test. Excited though, he's a battler to say the least, he'll be up to it I think.

The NHL hates this kind of stuff. Imagine either guy gets hurt in any way, or that it leads to other fights or hits that end up with someone getting hurt? The media would have a field day, the NHL would end up looking like a bush league, and Shanahan would rain fire down upon everyone, but especially Corvo and Julien.

No, I'd put money down on there being no funny business involving Corvo tonight.

If he really wanted to do something, Corvo needed to shut his mouth and just do it during the game.
