Big center. We played him when we beat Portland in the AHL 2nd round. He and Bobby Butler went head to head for the rookie goal scoring race in the AHL, but Bobby B got called up too often and lost the race.

16th overall in this draft is a real nice player IMO, Adam is a nice piece. I'd say it's a pretty even trade.

Wow really...solid return.

In that case, it's a win for Calgary I say. It'd be a more clear win if they actually came out and facilitated a rebuild.

Luke Adam was AHL rookie of the year, big winger or center.

Not seeing anythnig about that on Twitter (the return). Doubt it's that much.

If that's the return, great deal for Calgary as they won't be winning jack Dung for a while.

I guess that puts an end to any Bouwmeester rumours floating around.

I wonder if Murray will try and trade up with the Flames to either the 13th or 16th pick, Calgary could definitely use some depth in their prospects.

Dreger says he's been told of the deal and has a timeframe to decide - he's absorbing it now.

Why would he waive for Buffalo? I wouldn't.

I just don't get it from a Buffalo stand point. That's a lot to give up for a guy that isn't really going to improve the team all that much. Scoring help is more of a need for sure... Regher does nothing to help that.

Better team than Calgary. I guess this is a move to bring in a mentor for Myers which was (reportedly) lacking last season.
