I'm only posting this because I think it's important to get the word out. It's a disgusting heinous act that has been given a slap on the wrist. This happened in Florida. One girl holds an 11 year old boy down, while another one strips him naked and a third video tapes the entire thing. All three of them are laughing as the boy pleads for them to stop and cried. The girls then go home and upload it to YouTube.

The mother of the boy refuses to press charges on the girls, saying she'll leave it up to their mothers to discipline them.

Warning, there is a news video attached to this link, with an article. It is hard to watch, despite it all being blurred out. It's an absolutely disgusting crime.

wow...I think it's stupid that the mother of the victim won't press charges. Why leave it up to the parents? The girls initiated in this act because the parents failed. I feel for the poor boy.

The fascination of embarrassing people through social media is becoming uncontrollable it seems. Just go back to happy student who committed suicide when his roommate streamed him with his boyfriend to all of his friends. This is a unique case though where both cyber and physical bullying are being committed. No one should ever walk away scott-free from this.

Stunningly bad if you're the parents of the girls IMO. Bad, bad, bad. They're SO lucky the boy's parents aren't pressing charges and if it was me, they'd be going to counselling and perhaps somewhere to learn discipline.

In a couple of years he'll realize that 3 girls taking off his pants is a good thing. Laugh1

But yeah if this was 3 guys doing this to a girl they would be put in jail.

Yeah, flip the genders in this and it would be "Gang of 11-year old thugs rape little girl" and what not...

I knew somebody was going to make light of this.

Hopefully the parents of the girls take this seriously and come down hard on them for doing this.

It's a disgusting thing. And someone mentioned it before, I think it was Big Ev, if the gender roles were reversed, and it was three 13 year old boys (trying to confirm the ages, heard somewhere that's how old the girls were) doing this to an 11 year old girl, I wouldn't be surprised to see them charged with the creation of child pornography and being tried as adults.

Even after the deed however, I'm just completely appalled by his mother's reaction. She needs to stand up for her son, and pursue any means necessary to punish these girls.

And the other thing that is scary, is how this will affect this boy from here on out. I hope the parents put him in councelling, because this will severely affect his development, and could potentially cause some resentment and hatred for girls when he's older.

It's just very sad.

Bass makes an interesting point... could the uploading of the video constitute producing and distributing child porn?

Absolutely. It's a bit of a stretch since the intention wasn't pornographic, but it wouldn't be too difficult to argue that pornography was the result.

EDIT: Also, I just want to point out that we're too eager to label anything involving nudity "pornography." I'm thinking particularly of the poor parents who take cute bathtub pics (or whatever) of their children, only to end up explaining their intentions to the police.

The girls weren't trying to make a porn, they were trying to humiliate that poor boy. While I don't think it would be much of a stretch for a lawyer to argue that the girls created porn, I don't believe it for a second.

I don't know what disgusts me more about this whole thing: The act itself, or the disgusting troll of a "mother" who won't defend her son (who will certainly be dealing with the fallout from this for years).

The boy's mother, along with the girls who did this, need to have their asses kicked. Straight up. Forget about probation or any other non effective Dung. Just a straight up beating, followed by equal humiliation.

I can't even begin to describe what kind of rage I feel against that boy's mother. I have an 11 year old son, and if that happened to him, I'd be pressing charges, after I found the girls myself and knocked them the Diddle out.

I understand that an emotional act like this gets an emotional response, but you can't think any of the bolded sections are the right or just things to do. Sure, the girls need to be punished, but violent, reactionary punishments reinforce reactionary violence.

Of course, the opposite to this argument is: that little to no consequence reinforce that there is no culpability for this kind of behaviour.

Sometimes, blood demands blood. Society is too soft. This is exactly why kids can do this sort of thing in the first place, because are no consequences anymore. I could go on about "When I was a kid..." but I'll just say that the worst punishment I've ever given any of my kids was to sit in the bathtub and do nothing (since going to their room meant TV, video games etc.). And why? Because physical discipline is socially unacceptable these days. Don't get me wrong, I don't advocate child abuse, but there's a difference between abuse and discipline and nowadays society makes no distinction between the two.

I'm not kidding either, if it happened to my son, the cops better find the perps..before I do. What do you honestly expect that a time-out or grounding is going to teach these girls? Not a damn thing I suspect, other than they can do what they please with little to no consequence.
