I would like a little further responsibility taken by the other owners as well. This was totally unacceptable. Douches.

I don't do that.

I might have left some key words out.

I only read the threads that I think deal with Ottawa. Those I read every single post.

I have never clicked on those "What's next for (insert other team here) threads. I come here for the best Sens info on the net and that is it. It's an awesome site.

I wouldn't worry about this crap. If you heard and didn't post it, then it came true you would kick yourself. It seemed credible so you posted it. Christ this isn't the New York Times, no offence.

At the end of the day, we all like possibilities. I don't believe A$$lund because he is right about .005% of the time. If you are even 10% it is better than most. Rumours are part of the fun as long as they aren't complete fabrications by the author which clearly this was not. (EDIT: Someone made it up, just not you)

Anyone who complains should climb off the high horse and lift the tail to insert their head...

SpezDispenser: Don't worry about it. It was a case of being overly excited. You realized the "mistake" and nutted up and owned up to it. I personaly don't believe anything more needs to be said.

Hell, I hardly read half of the ones I write.

SD, can you explain one thing though? The name of this topic. What does "The Needle" mean?

Spez,

It's happened to a LOT of us. As always, your prose is great and you so eloquently expressed what probably didn't need to be said, but I think it's great that you said it nonetheless.

I can only speak for myself, obviously (HA!), but when Clutch approached Heater, err, sorry Spezdispenser and I about starting a site (this one) about 2 years ago, what I remember quite vividly was the general consensus that we wanted a hockey environment where fans could dish and vent and rant and discuss anything hockey, and hopefully free from personal attacks or ridicule for the sake of ridicule that seems to be norm one some 'other' sites. PERIOD.

Rumors are what they are...Rumors. True, nothing gets my synapses firing on all cylinders like when I see in my inbox that there's a message from a 'good friend' or a 'connected buddy' waiting for me; and I usually pass on just about if not EVERYTHING I hear, and I too have been mocked for some of my posts, but in the end all I was doing was sharing info, whether it sounded plausible or completely retarded, it was shared.

All this to say that this should be a fun and stimulating area to frequent, and we (the ENTIRE Gm Hockey community) make it what it is, so keep on discussing whatever tickles your fancy about Hockey. Draft, rumors, stats, etc... After all, without you and your POV's and opinions, this site is empty.

Now, who's got the next ridiculous trade rumor? Wink j/k

You know what I used to have for breakfast? Cocaine. Know what I had for lunch? Cocaine.

What did you have for dinner?

Was it cocaine?

I'm still in the dark here. I googled and found the lyrics, but still not getting the connection:

"Needle And The Damage Done"

I caught you knockin'
at my cellar door

I love you, baby,

can I have some more

Ooh, ooh, the damage done.

I hit the city and
I lost my band

I watched the needle

take another man

Gone, gone, the damage done.

I sing the song
because I love the man

I know that some

of you don't understand

Milk-blood

to keep from running out.

I've seen the needle
and the damage done

A little part of it in everyone

But every junkie's

like a settin' sun.

Well, my take on it would be that because the song is about addiction and the damage it causes, I would equate that to SD's "addiction" to hockey rumours and breaking news and the "damage" he caused today... I can see the similarity... but I may be wrong...

Oh Dung man, I just thought it was a cool name for the thread. Laughing3

It is indeed named after the Neil Young song, but only because it's a neat name really.

Don't sweat it. Spezza19 is good at what he does.

There are also some really, really connected people on HF. I can think of one who seems to break every Sens move a few hours before it happens (such as the Campoli deal).

Notch is a good (albeit infrequent) poster who's been here a while, too. I think it's best we just all move on. If anything, it just shows how much the Heatley trade needs to get done - soon.
