I return with technically good news =)

The technician's have now finally been informed.....there should be a fix sometime soon.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with avatar and emoticon images? For most, I only see a little box with a red X inside. For some reason, some images show up. A few smileys work and Gohan's avatar works. Other than that, nothing shows up.

Anyone else?

Avatars only work if they are linked to off-site servers. In other words, the server that's hosting GMH is not serving up the images. Maybe it's overloaded and the requests are timed out, maybe the images are gone. Who knows.

Funny, though, that images in signatures don't seem to have problems. Maybe the ones I've seen are off-site URLs as well.

What are the problems with smileys? A few days ago many of them disappeared in the selection panel (could only see their descriptive text) but now they seem to be back:

Ah! Found one that doesn't work -- the "Peter Shaefer surrender" (white flag waving smiley) is not coming through.

Another one (just above) -- the "Ahhh" one. Don't even remember what it looked like. A couple others -- Rock On and Shrug are missing as well, but the vast majority seem to be fine.

Any avatar's or smilies not working will have to be re-uploaded as they were lost in the server migration that was recently experienced

As for the PM's, there's still no word from the techs
