Re: "Original" TGOR
So here it is. JR and Stu are switching morning shows. Not really a big deal, since both shows are done about 10 feet away from eachother.
I like JR, The Man of the People! He's always there to clean up the mess each time the Sens are eliminated from the playoffs. Going above and beyond into the wee hours of the morning to let fans vent.

Agreed. Just not realistic.
He chalks it up to ADD or whatever. The fact is, he's a self-centered jerk. He can be lucid and insightful as long as it's a topic that interests HIM, otherwise he has to derail things with toilet humour.
I can't see why it's unrealistic. Listen to the team 990 (Montreal installment) if you ever have a chance. These guys are pro. They know their stuff and they are insightful; they're also fun to watch. I will not listen to TGOR as long as JJ is in it.
Cheers!

I do listen to Team 990.
It's unrealistic to expect that Jerome will get the boot. When he left, they set him up with a remote studio. Then he bailed on the Team after they did that for him. Then the team rolls out the welcome mat when he was out of a job.
The show would be better without Jim Jerome. It just isn't going to happen.

Why does Jungle always seem like he's out of breath? Is he trying to be Joe Pesci.... I find Jungle annoying.

Because he's constantly running outside for a quick smoke, then back inside. Plus he's a bon-vivant, so he enjoys some of those other things that lead to high blood pressure and trouble breathing. Those who hate him, cheer up, he's probably not long for this world. I, on the other hand, enjoy his contributions. Shwee-yaah.

Regardless what they do with TGOR- it will be towers above the Summer Scratches. Good lord I can't stand hearing Kulka and Versage talk. Every person that calls in, they just immediately shut down and call them an idiot. I've never called in to them, but every day on the drive home get the temptation to call and tell them exactly how I feel about their show every afternoon. Kulka is the epitome of a meathead, and Versage just follows around whatever Glen has to say. It's so aggravating that I've just stopped listening to them in the afternoon.

By the way, what happened to my Peabrain Kulka and Small Time Versage thread?

Wasn't it edited because we would rather Team1200 endorsed us by mentioning this site on air whenever it is cleverly placed in an e-mail or call in? No, we are not yet as bad as the Scientologists, forcing google to filter their search indices, but with luck and perseverance we may get there one day.

All I'll say on that topic is, I dropped the kids off to school for the first time Tuesday. But yesterday when I turned on the radio around 3PM-is I heard Summer Scratches? Hey, don't let the good weather fool you, it's the Fall. Put the Summer Stuff back in the closet.

Yessir. Except for when Kulka filled in once, and it was "Beef Yorkie".

I was kidding. I know what happened to thread. It was sanitized unceremoniously.

I thought someone here mentioned that he was there predominantly because of his contacts in the industry.
It says something when the first person Gretzky calls after his farewell game is Jim...

The Name Dropper continues to ensure a permanent place on my sh1tlist...
This morning he declared Sean Burkes mask to be one that he liked the least since Led Zeppelin has nothing to do with hockey...
I dislike the Name Dropper because hair and brains have nothing to do with his head.

Re: "Original" TGOR
Since we're on the subject of Name Dropper. I have to say how ridiculous his comments were back during the 5-2 loss to Tampa. First he praises Stamkos for his amazing hand eye coordination and overall smart PP goal by Tampa. What actually happend you ask? He tips a puck that, by total fluke, ends up deflecting off of Kuba's skate and in. He then praises the play of Malone, I believe, for his great play behind the net and his stellar wrap around goal. stellar wrap around goal? Really? That goal stank so much I could smell it from home. No way Elliott shouldn't have stopped it but somehow it was an amazing play by Malone. Talk about stupid takes on those two plays.
