I'd be pleased, but I won't hold my breath.

Obviously Boo-Boo needed some filling for his donut of a column.
Let's see now, how many teams are 'interested' in Forsberg?
So far I've heard Philly, Detroit, Vancouver, the Rangers, Chicago and now the Senators.
Like, so what.

Exactly.
If Garrioch would pick up the phone and call Forsberg's agent Don Baizely, he might find out, as TSN previously reported (and Lyle Richardson passed along) yesterday, that "Peter Forsberg has told his NHL agent Don Baizley that he's yet to make a decision regarding his future following the Karjala Cup."

So basically, Forsberg hasn't decided if he wants to subject his surgically reconstructed foot to NHL play, and risk being crippled in the process.
Of course NHL teams are 'interested'--whatever THAT means--in Forsberg, and why wouldn't they be?
And oh yes, add the Avalanche to the 'list'.

Oops, add more teams to the Forsberg Frenzy:
SPECTOR'S NOTE: Add the Senators to the Vancouver Canucks and NY Rangers who have confirmed interest in Forsberg. Flyers GM Paul Holmgren recently denied interest as has Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland. The Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens are rumored interested but there's been no confirmation on this. No word on whether or not the Colorado Avalanche are scouting him.

Wow, did you even read the article?
He clearly mentions that PF has not made a decision and that there will be multiple suitors if does decide to re-join the NHL

Yeah, I don't see any reason to not choose Colorado if he returns.

Of course I read the article.
Here it is again, just so we're all on the same page:
The Senators are taking a close look at Peter Forsberg.
The Swedish superstar, who is eyeing a comeback, is playing in the Karjala Cup in Finland this weekend. The Senators sent pro scout Jim Clark to the tournament and are interested in signing the 36-year-old former Hart Trophy winner.
Ottawa would have to find a way to fit Forsberg, who is trying to return to the NHL after a series of surgeries on his foot, under the $56.7-million salary cap. Nobody is sure how much money he will demand, but there is speculation it could be in the $4-million range on a one-year deal.
While Forsberg is considering a huge offer to play in Russia with AK Bars Kazan, sources say his first choice is the NHL. He won’t make a decision until after the weekend and will have plenty of options if he decides to play.
