Team Blue. Love the Pettersson and Regin connection there.

Lehner won the award for hardest working Sen. As if we got this guy with the 46th pick. Amazing to me still.

you attribute that one to good scouting on Murray's staff's part.

well okay a bit of luck too then, but what the others GM missed is our huge gain, we will be set in goal for a long time if this keeps up.

I still think next year if we have an extra draft pick or two we should be picking up another goaltender. Lehner will be golden for Ottawa in 3 or 4 years but you still need to build that organizational depth.

hey we got Mike Brodeur, who realistically will never see a game outside the AHL, he is just there to take the # 1 job in Bingo from Jeff Glass.

Replace/push, w/e. We still need to build depth at every position. Right now our defense is beyond stacked, forward ranks are a little thin, and goaltending is somewhere in the middle.

You can attribute it to other teams being scared out of their mind to take a risk on Lehner. Meanwhile, Forsberg and Dorion definitely had been watching him for a long, long time.

I'm actually surprised they didn't draft our 2nd rounders in reverse, with Lehner going 39th and Silfverberg going 48th.

But hey, we're lucky it worked out that way.

Not surprised. The first day I saw him hustling whenthey were doing laps in-between drills. It stood out for me (especially given what the third goalie -- Rowat? -- was doing or, rather, not doing).
