Are you discounting Winchester or are you saying he's on the roster once his conditioning stint it up, and then Smith is the next call up *in addition to* Winch?

I dont see Winchester being a healthy scratch much, if at all this year. I also dont see Kelly (like some have suggested) coming out for him either.

Diddle no. No chance we're sitting Kelly.

I think if healthy, the lineup will look like this

Cheechoo/Spezza/Michalek
Alfi/Fisher/Kovy
Neil/Regin/Foligno
Winchester/Kelly/Ruutu

Sucks for DOnovan because I love that guy but Winchester absolutely is a better guy to have in that 4th line slot.

Such good motivation for these players though. If you don't give 100% every night, you're out and Player X is in. And Clouston won't hesitate taking anyone out. Except Cheechoo - I doubt he takes him out this year unless he starts to dog it.

It is hard to break up that fourth line. *unfortunately* they are the best line we have right now in terms of consistency and sustaining pressure.

Well we have not had a healthy lineup since game 1, so I doubt that is going to change anytime soon. Everyone will get in and pitch in here and there... except Shannon... only guy on the team without a point, even Lee has one, hahaha.

That can go both ways though, right.  On one side, it's motivation and competition to keep your roster spot.  On the other side, especially for a guy like Cheechoo, they starting holding the stick too tight, looking over their shoulder, thinking, one mistake and I'm out of the lineup.                                               Of course with injuries, one never knows when we'll be back to a full lineup...

With the schedule coming up there will plenty of opportunities to rest people. There will also be injuries.

Injuries happen and usually it's not a big deal until it's your top end guys a la Volchie and Spezza. Not many teams can maintain a winning record in that kind of scenario. Pittsburgh missing Gonchar and Malkin is the exception. At least the Sens have shown they can win without Kuba. Now lets see if they can win without Volchie and Spezza.
